About Susan

Susan is the Inaugural Assistant Dean of the Career Development Office (CDO) at MIT Sloan and a strategic catalyst for the CDO’s reimagination and culture transformation. In this role, she leads what she believes today is the most talented and capable team of career professionals in the nation who guide the careers of students and alumni across MIT Sloan’s diverse portfolio of graduate business programs. Susan and her team take to heart MIT Sloan’s mission to develop innovative principled leaders who improve the world and are inspired every day to find new ways to support students to make an impact. A passionate advocate for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, Susan brings her action-oriented commitment to Sloan’s school-wide DEI Committees for both Students and Staff Matters.

About Alayna

Dr. Alayna Hayes is the Senior Director of Life Design-Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Life Design Lab at Johns Hopkins University where she currently leads the SOAR Team (Seizing Opportunities, Access, and Relationships), a group of six Life Design Educators who work in co-curricular spaces on campus focusing on connecting with first-generation and limited-income students. Having been at JHU for over 5 years, Alayna previously led employer relations efforts for the then-named Homewood Career Center. Prior to transitioning to higher education, Alayna worked in pharmaceutical sales for several companies including Pfizer Animal Health and GlaxoSmithKline. Alayna received her Doctorate of Education from JHU School of Education where her research interests were focused on first-generation college students and their access to social capital for internships and employment opportunities. She also has an MBA and BS from Florida A&M University.

About Junior

Junior Delgado serves as the Director of the Career Center at Westfield State University (MA). In 2021, he became the President-Elect for the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE). Over the last eight years, he has served as the Executive Chair/President of the Massachusetts Educational Recruiting Consortium (MERC). He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Education from Clark University, a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Westfield State University, and completed the Institute for Management and Leadership (MLE) at Harvard University.
